Do I have to wear a face mask to the test center?
Yes, all test candidates must wear a face mask BEFORE entering the test center. At this time, we do not offer free face masks to test candidates. However, a local store across the street sells face masks in the event that you do not have one.
What can I do to prevent contracting COVID-19?
All test candidates are required to wear a facemask. Test candidates are allowed to bring in their own disposable gloves and hand sanitizer for use during the exam. Test candidates will also be allowed to wear any headgear designed to act as a face shield.
All items that contain written text, such as labels, will be inspected prior to entering the testing room. Test candidates are prohibited from writing on their PPE for any form of note taking.
Do you provide COVID-19 testing?
Our test center does not provide COVID-19 testing. The test center is providing proctoring services to written and internet based exams.

What happens if I forget my ID?
We will not allow any test candidate to take an exam without presenting a valid government issued ID. We will also not allow any photo copies or cellphone pictures of IDs.
Some exams require more than one form of documentation or proof of supplementary certification. Please review your test instructions prior to your arrival.
Can I bring an expired ID?
Expired California state issued government IDs will not be accepted. In the event that your physical identification could not be renewed due to COVID-19, can renew your California state issued identification online. You will be required to present the expired ID with a proof of renewal document. Exceptions may be made based upon the state of your identification and your test vendor’s policies.
Where can I place my personal belongings during the exam?
We provide personal lockers for our test candidates to place for the duration of the exam. These lockers are lockable by key, which will be given to the test candidate for their safekeeping. The lockers are 1' x 1' x 1'. Hence, some large items will not fit, such as laptop bags and motorcycle helmets. The testing center staff will offer to keep your items in the employee room, however we recommend keeping your belongings in your car or with someone if it will not fit inside the locker.
Can I take my test earlier than my appointment time?
For most exams, you can take your test early! However, please note that this is dependent on the availability of seats. If the testing center is at full capacity, it will be unlikely that a test candidate will be able to test early. Please call ahead to ensure the test center can accommodate your early arrival.
Can I bring my own earplug or noise-canceling headphones?
Test candidates may not bring their own noise-canceling devices. However, we provide earplugs and headphones, free of charge! If you must have your own noise-canceling devices, please contact your test vendor for approval of the unauthorized item.
What steps are being made by the test center to protect test candidates from COVID-19?
All test workstations are sanitized before use and between every test administration. There are dividers placed in between each testing station. All test candidates will be seated 6 ft apart, if not more. Hand sanitizer is available to all test candidates, along with sterile individually packaged ear plugs.
Proctors will monitor the test candidates from security cameras and keep in-room proctoring to a minimum.
Can my friend or family wait for me during my test?
Due to COVID-19 mandates, we ask that only the test candidate enter the testing center. Friends and family will not be allowed to wait for the test candidate inside the test center. Test candidates with children will strictly not be allowed to test if the children would left unsupervised during the exam.
Can I bring my drink or snacks into the testing room?
Drinks, including water, and snacks will not be permitted inside the testing room. This includes chewing gum. Test candidates will have access to drinking water at the testing center, which can be consumed outside of the testing room. If a drink or snack is required due to medical reasons, please contact your test vendor for special accommodations approval.
Can I bring my medication into the testing room?
Medication that must be possessed or taken during the exam must be approved by your test vendor prior to your appointment. Test candidates that bring medication without prior consent will not be allowed to bring those items into the exam room. Alternatively, candidates will be given the opportunity to reschedule their exam once approved for the medication as a special accommodation. Otherwise, it will be up to your test vendor’s discretion whether your medication will be allowed. This includes comfort items such as eye drops, lip balms, hand lotions, essential oils, and allergy medication.
What happens if I'm running late?
Some exams are very strict and will not allow a test candidate to take their exam late. However, most exams will allow a test candidate to be late within a grace period of 15 or 30 minutes. If you believe you will be late for your exam, please contact the test center to see if the test center can accommodate your late arrival. Testing center staff will be unable to reschedule an exam for a test candidate, you must contact your test vendor.
Is there a dress code for the testing center?
There is no dress code for the testing center, hence we advise, but do not require, candidates to arrive in comfortable business casual attire. However, most exams will not allow hoodies, hats, accessories, and any outwear. We recommend that test takers wear layers to avoid discomfort. Any removed articles of clothing must be placed on the test candidates chair. Not articles of clothing can be placed on the floor or on the workstation desk.
This rule does not apply to articles that are cultural or religious.
Can I bring a firearm?
If you intend to bring a firearm, you must disclose this to your proctor upon check-in. Only federal agents are allowed to have their firearms during the exam, which they must keep on them along with their credentials at all times. All other test takers will not be permitted to have a firearm in the test center.
